Neil Brownless is a conductor of Brass and Wind Bands based in Oxfordshire, UK. He has been Musical Director of Abingdon Concert Band, a Wind Band in Oxfordshire, since September 2013. In July 2020 Neil became the second person to graduate (with Distinction) from the Masters degree in Brass Band Conducting under the tutelage of Dr Robert Childs at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

On the contest stage, Neil has had great success with Towcester Studio Band winning six competitions in his time as Musical Director. Neil also led Abingdon Concert Band to Gold awards at the National Concert Band regional event in 2018 and national event in 2019. Neil has guest conducted many other bands including, more recently, Woodfalls Band, Goodwick Brass, City of Cardiff (Mellingriffith) Band, Kidlington Concert Brass, Oxfordshire Youth Wind Orchestra and many more!

Neil has also turned his hand to arranging and has published arrangements for both Wind and Brass Band.
